​The General Directorate of Civil Defense has banned ,as of today, the use of liquefied gas cylinders of any various types and size in pilgrims camps and government offices in the Holy Sites.
Official Spokesman of the Civil Defense Hajj mission Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Al-Hammadi ,, said the preventive measure is meant to reduce the risk of fire in Hajj camps.
Al-Hammadi, added, the decision to ban the use of LPG in the Holy Sites will be implemented in coordination with several security agencies , also, those who found violating the instruction will be fined and will have their gas cylinders confiscated.
