On Monday, 1.11.2016,
the General Directorate of Civil Defense has launched a cultural awareness
program for the current year, by a lecture under the title (Ideological
Security) delivered by H.E. Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsin Al-Turki, the
adviser at the Royal Court; member of senior scholars. The Director General of
Civil Defense, Lieutenant General, Suleiman bin Abdullah Al-Amro and a number
of Civil Defense officers and personnel attended the lecture.
Lt. Gen. Al-Amro
expressed his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Al-Turki for supporting Civil
Defense efforts to instill the concept of ideological security in Civil Defense
personnel according to Islamic perspectives and principles. In addition,
Al-Amro expressed his confidence that such activities and lectures would
contribute to raising awareness against any deviant thoughts or misleading
allegations in order to help Civil Defense personnel to carry out their tasks in
preserving the country's assets and human lives.
On his part, the
Director of Moral and Ideological Guidance Department at the General Directorate of Civil Defense, Colonel
Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Aamer, stated that the lecture came as part of the
events and activities that aim at improving the Civil Defense personnel's awareness,
work ethics including enhancing ideological
