Al-Amro
has chaired a meeting held at the General Directorate of Civil Defense to
discuss and amend some Civil Defense rules and regulations. He stated that the
General Directorate of Civil Defense has constantly reviewed and worked on
developing the rules and regulations based on the feedbacks to apply in
practice.
Lt.
Gen Al-Amro said that the meeting came as part of the Civil Defense plans for
improving all rules and regulations in a way to ensure the security and safety,
the economic and developmental assets of the kingdom. He added that it is
important to be acquainted with all changes and improvements made to all
developmental, industrial and trade activities, requiring rules and regulations
to be modified accordingly.
Finally, Al-Amro
pointed out that regulations are reviewed based on scientific studies conducted
by Civil Defense experts. Also, he stated that it is good to benefit from the
international experience, think tanks, and research centers at Saudi
universities, as well as to be enlightened by the experience of the Civil
Defense Council's members and private sector. At the end of the meeting, the papers
presented addressing several rules and regulations that demonstrate causes and
goals of changes were presented
