A course for Civil Defense officers in GCC Countries to deal with Weapons of Mass Destruction

A course is held today in Kuwait on its fourth session to deal with weapons of mass destruction and Prevention. The course attended by delegates from civil defense officers from GCC countries and officers from the Kuwaiti Army and National Guard.  

The aim of the course which will continue until the 24 of this month is to establish means and measures of civil defense and the preparation of national, qualified and capable personnel in dealing with weapons of mass destruction and other hazardous materials.  

The course aims also to identify the capabilities of the countries to take advantage of them in an integrated manner and try to understand the various types of equipment to detect weapons of mass destruction, and  manual methods for decontamination in addition to develop ideas and main principles to prepare a contingency plan for the GCC countries and unify the implementation mechanisms to deal with these hazardous materials and find ways to prevent them.
