Civil Defense Continues to Raise Public Awareness of Strong Wind

The General Directorate of Civil Defense, in coordination with relevant authorities, continues to implement its awareness program on weather phenomena, promoting proactive safety practices and strengthening community readiness for climate fluctuations.

The directorate highlighted the importance of staying in safe areas, locations with falling objects and electric wires, and driving cautiously while maintaining safe distance from work areas, falling trees, and high and open spaces. Additionally, it reiterated the importance of adhering to instructions published by official entities.

It also called on the public to follow announcements issued through official channels and to contact 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, or 998 across the rest of the Kingdom for immediate assistance during emergencies. ​
