Civil Defense Warns Public to Avoid Flood Areas as NCM Forecasts Thunderstorms across Kingdom through Friday

​The General Directorate of Civil Defense called on the public to exercise caution, remain in safe locations, avoid flood and valley areas, refrain from swimming, and follow instructions issued through media and social platforms.

The warning follows forecasts by the National Center for Meteorology (NCM) of continued thunderstorms across the Kingdom through Friday.

The directorate said all regions, including Makkah, Riyadh, Madinah, Hail, Qassim, Northern Borders, Eastern, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, Al-Baha, Aseer, Jazan, and Najran, are expected to be affected by moderate to heavy rainfall. The conditions may lead to flash floods, hail, and active downdrafts causing dust and sand.​​
