The General Directorate of Civil Defense and the Saudi Red Crescent Authority SRCA signed a memorandum of understanding MoU for cooperation in civil defense missions, search and rescue and medical services in cases of accidents, emergencies and disasters. This MoU was on the sidelines of the Global Health Exhibition 2025.

The MoU aims to enhance coordination and integration between the two entities in field operations, consultations, utilizing medical personnel on search and rescue teams, and collaboration on joint training, activities, and events.

Furthermore, the MoU reflects both entities' commitment to strengthening joint efforts and enhancing preparedness. Subsequently, this will contribute to the protection of lives and property and support Saudi Arabia's emergency response system.   ​
