The Director of Civil Protection warns all citizens and residents

The Director of Civil Protection, Brigadier General/ Abdullah Al-Gasham warned citizens and residents during rainfall, especially when it start raining. As rain falls, it mixes with oil and grime on the road creating slippery conditions that may lead to car sliding and cause accidents. Al-Gasham pointed that the effect of this situation will not last long, it will decrease gradually when the rain level increases.   

He stressed on the importance of avoid crossing valleys or floods for safety purposes and avoid highland roads during rainfall, since there is a possibility that rocks may fall on the road and cause damages or accidents.   

Brigadier General/ Al-Gasham urged all citizens and residents to look for more information on weather condition and forecast updates on the General Presidency of Metrology And Environmental Protection website (www.pme.gov.sa), plus the General Directorate of Civil Defense site (www.998.gov.sa).
