The objectives of the Department of Safety is led by leadership of the aircraft is characterized in the prevention of accidents and aircraft facts, through the development and implementation of safety programs and the prevention of accidents and to increase the level of safety the in the operation of the aircraft in all the bases of the civil defense in the Kingdom, through making the safety periodic inspections, and follow-up to know how much its preparations To respond to various emergencies and conduct investigations to accidents and oblige them to follow the requirements of safety related to the results o investigations or inspections or technical studies with the relevant agencies and make video about regulations, procedures, and inquiries related to the aircraft safety, under the direction of the manager of safety in the leadership, and the guidance of His Excellency the chief of the flight of the civil defense taken from the instructions of His Excellency general Director of the civil defense.

• Investigations of incidents and facts of the planes:

- The Department of safety and the divisions related to it in the bases of aircraft to make the investigations of the incidents and the consequences of the flights in the Kingdom in order to prevent recurrence in the future, and to give its report to the authorities related to inform and implement the special recommendations of that to maintain the levels of airline flights in the Civil Defense.
- To inform the local relevant authorities in case of incidents or facts of the aircraft and to make a coordination and follow-up on the work of the investigation work in the incidents and facts.
- Prepare and submit preliminary and final reports of incidents or facts of the flight to the competent authorities for its adoption and then issue the reports and provide a copy to the relevant authorities, and continue the implementation and follow-up of the reports and recommendations special to it.
- Prepare the letters and responds to queries related to the incidents and facts of the flights by the relevant authorities.
- Review the developments of the regulations and procedures related to the investigating in the incidents and facts of the flight and the prevention of recurrence and prepare the appropriate recommendations, as well as preparing to respond to the queries and studies for the specialized authorities on which this regard.
- Representing the airline in the civil defense in organizations and local bodies in connection with the investigations of the incidents and the facts of the flight.

• The prevention of accidents.

- Making special studies which are related to the aircraft safety and issuing reports and recommendations special for it, and in the inspections related to the safety bases, and automatic and human performance to all the operations of the flight in order to increase the levels of safety and accident prevention.
- Follow up the implementation of the recommendations contained in the reports of the incidents and facts of the aircraft with the relevant authorities.
- Compiling data of the accidents and facts of the aircraft and apply the technical analysis and issue reports and recommendations for the prevention of accidents.
- Applying the seminars and courses related to the safety of the aircraft and the prevention of accidents to raise the level of knowledge and performance of the staff of the flight.
- Preparation of correspondence and to respond to queries and suggestions on prevention of air crashes by the bases of the Civil Air Defense or the relevant authorities.
- Review the developments of the regulations and procedures for the prevention of aircraft accidents and the preparation of appropriate recommendations and to prepare to respond to the inquiries and studies to the relevant authorities.
- Representing the airline of the civil defense in the organizations and local bodies related to the safety of the aircraft.

The objectives are characterized in the increase of the level of aircraft safety and prevention of the land and air accidents, and to report it to the competent authorities, and follow the implementations of the recommendations of safety requiring conformity on the results of investigations or inspections or private technical studies with the relevant agencies, as well as through the development and implementation of safety programs and the prevention of accidents, in addition to the preparing and updating of the evidence related to the regulations and procedures of the investigation in the accidents and the facts of the aircraft, and to answer the queries on this flight under the control of the commander of the Civil Defense and guidance of His Excellency the general Director of Civil Defense.
